Spring in Henderson

Our first strawberry picking from the new patch yielded these beauties - Rob prepared the plot last year and I planted the whopper variety. Yummy!

The clematis come back faithfully every year!
We have a number of flowering bushes in our back yard.

One lonely peony.
This is the third year for our fruit trees and the first time we have seen any fruit. We're excited to see if they mature.
These iris grow and multiply and are so pretty in May.

Wish this was in my front yard, but I can enjoy it while I'm mowing that big back yard!

It's looking good! I can't wait till I can plant some strawberries...and peaches. I had a peach yesterday and it was SO GOOD I told Brian that we are planting one ASAP :) Hope your weekend is nice, it's been raining the past couple of days and is supposed to through the weekend :(

I think flowers brighten everyone's day, that's one reason why spring is so nice! Those strawberries look delish.

HA! I was listening to a garden show on the radio this am, and they mentioned "clematis"... nicely timed picture.

If you know how to ship peonies from Ohio to Illinois, and would like a few more, let me know... We have gobs of peonies (so many that I've transplanted a dense, 20 foot, row of peonies from the front to the side of our house.)

I still have several that I need to move, but none of my friends are interested.
